Elise May Frohsin
A graduate of Emory Law School, Elise Frohsin has practiced law in Birmingham, Alabama, specializing in the field of commercial litigation, since 1995. Elise first worked in the litigation department of one of Birmingham’s most respected old firms – Berkowitz, Lefkovits, Isom & Kushner. Her work included a wide spectrum of complex civil disputes and appellate practice, including assisting with multi-state False Claims Act qui tam cases.
In 1999, Elise joined the prestigious Birmingham law firm of Starnes & Atchison, where she continued her work in the field of commercial litigation and appellate practice, particularly concentrating in the firm’s surety and fidelity claims field, as well as in information technology service and software litigation. In 2014, Elise became a member of the Frohsin & Barger team to work in the firm’s commercial litigation practice, particularly assisting her father-in-law Henry Frohsin, in the firm’s Birmingham, Alabama office.
While in law school, Elise served as a Notes and Comments Editor for the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal, publishing the Spring 1995 Article, “Where Your Priorities Should Be: Analysis of the Perfection and Priority of Security Interests in Copyrights as it Affects Bankruptcy.”
