For $50,000 and the price of a couple of airline tickets, a corrupt company purchased a government contract to build and maintain warehouses in Iraq that cost U.S. taxpayers nearly $12 million.  According to DoJ, Kevin A. Davis, a retired colonel  and “senior member of the source selection board responsible for the award” pleaded guilty to accepting the bribes and acknowledged that  they were for “his assistance to the contractor who received the warehouse contract.”  Davis faces up to two-years in prison and nearly $300,000 in fines and restitutiuon.
