Ana C. Chavez, a U.S. Army Sergeant pleaded guilty to accepting $90,000 in cash and wire transfers as a bribe from a DoD contractor in Afghanistan from February 2005 and continued until September 2006, says DoJ. She laundered the money through another DoD contractor and co-conspirators back in the United States. Chavez will pay restitutiona and fines and faces up to 35 years in prison.
