Federal Times reports that the “vast majority” of fraud allegations related to the Iraq war are against Halliburton’s KBR, who has multi-billion dollar Government war contracts in both Iraq and Afganistan.  The cases involve “accusations of overbilling, false charges and bribery” April Stephenson, director of the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), told reporter Elise Castelli.  This comes on the heels of accusations reported by CNN that KBR has avoided paying federal taxes as well as whistleblower reports that KBR knowingly performed shoddy electical work that routinely caused electrical shock to American soldiers in the field.  Whistleblower and journeyman electrician/former KBR employee in Iraq, Debbie Crawford: tells CNN’s Rachel Maddow that KBR’s “shoddy and dangerous” work continues to cause electricutions of American personnel in Iraq at a rate of twice a week:

Crawford’s allegations follow ongoing, long-standing allegations made by numerous American soldiers, government contractors, and former Halliburton or KBR employees about waste and abuse perpetrated by Halliburton and KBR in Iraq, including knowingly exposing American troops to unsafe water contaminated with the likes of malaria, typhus, giardia, and cryptosporidium:
