More Physical Therapy Fraud; Therapist Faces Imprisonment

Facing up to 10 years in prison, Miami physical therapist, Andres Cespedes pleaded guilty to company to commit health care fraud by paying  kickbacks and bribes and billing “Medicare for physical therapy that never occurred.”  According to DoJ, “Cespedes and his co-conspirators purchased Dynamic Therapy Inc. from its prior owners, and transformed it into a fraudulent enterprise,” falsely billing federal healthcare programs for $757,654 in fraudulent claims in less than one year.  Under the plea agreement, Cespedes admitted to paying patients for their Medicare billing information and using the numbers fo bill Medicare for fake therapy sessions.
