Small Business Administration set-aside projects under the HubZone program were abused by Debdas Ghosal and his companies CSI Engineering and CSI Design Build, says DoJ. Ghosal will pay $200,000 to settle allegations that he misled the SBA about the home base of his business in order to secure HubZone (Historically Underutilized Business Zone) contracts, which are specifically reserved for “companies that maintain their principal office in a designated area and employ 35 percent of their workforce from that area, among other requirements.”
